Praise you Lord Jesus. Thank you God the Father. Come Holy Spirit.

Blessed are you, O God of our fathers, praised be your name forever and ever. Let the heavens and all your creation praise you forever. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, I believe You are here with me. I believe I am a member of the Body of Christ. I believe I am a temple of the Holy Spirit. I believe that when I abide in You, You abide in me. I believe You are holding me into existence. I believe You and Mary and Joseph are here guiding me through every moment. Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob.

Lord Jesus, this day does not belong to me. This day belongs to You. All that you have put in my possession belongs to You. My spouse, my children, my home, my health, my sickness, my challenges and victories. All belong to You. Please fill my heart flask with Your Grace, that I might be the caretaker You made me to be.

St. Bridget Novena
~ Marian Adaptation ~

Saint Bridget prayed her Novena seven times a day, seven days a week for twelve years.  While she pondered all Seven Wounds through out one day, this version reflects on only one Wound with one Sorrow and Labor seven times throughout a day, completing all twenty-one in a week. It is a tapestry of prayer done similarly to praying the Hours. If you feel led by God to pray this novena, you should pray however God directs you personally to find the treasures He has in store for you.

Begin each day of your novena with the Opening prayer and choose the Day’s prayer for each corresponding day of your week. For instance, Sunday is my Day 1.

Opening Prayer

O Jesus, now I wish to pray the Lord’s Prayer seven times in unity with the love with which You sanctified this prayer in Your Heart. Take it from my lips, through Your Mother’s Immaculate Heart and into Your Divine Heart. Improve and complete it so much that it brings as much honor and joy to the Trinity as You granted it on earth with this prayer. May these prayers pour upon Your Holy Humanity in Glorification to Your Painful Wounds and the Precious Blood that You spilled from them.
